This year’s regional roundtable forum is, once again, being held at Holiday Inn Boksburg, Johannesburg, South Africa, and will be streamed live on Zoom and other social media channels.
This year’s forum will be in hybrid mode (both physical and virtual attendance). The forum is hosted under the theme: “Leaving no one Behind: Collaborating for a sustainable disability mainstreaming and inclusive development in Southern Africa.”
Global Disability Advisor
The World Bank Group
Secretary General F
Funksjonshemmedes Fellesorganisasjon (FFO)
Head of DRR Unit
U-LINK/Down Syndrome Association
The 2022 forum will, among other things, evaluate current regional policy frameworks and financing mechanisms for disability programming in the region, including mainly those related to Disability-inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DiDRR) and inclusive education.
The expected event outcomes will be delivered through speeches, keynote addresses, and presentations from various inclusive DRR and education experts, including the Global Disability Advisor at the World Bank Group, specialists from international development organizations, representatives of community-based organizations of people with disabilities, just to mention a few. Key outcomes will also be achieved through breakout sessions, plenary, and panel discussions. In this context, the forum remains a convenient platform for various actors to continue learning from each other while contributing their valuable experiences and insights.
Register now either as an in-person or virtual participant.
